The primary operating system for this machine runs all of my forward-facing applications with security in mind. These are all also containerized with docker as it makes for easy deployment of multiple things and keeps vulnerabilities limited to their layer. This is also where this page is hosted.
- docker|portainer – Put these both together as you know by now this is my favorite method to deploy programs and multiple copies of those programs.
- nginx reverse proxy – Provides secure outside access by letting applications on other ports point to the internet and routes them through a secure port.
- cloudflare ddns – Any time my IP address changes this updates my Cloudflare account with my new IP and helps me use proxied hosts so as not to expose my network.
- WordPress – I currently run 2 different WordPress sites as a proof of concept to containerize and deploy many websites per Pi. Their uptime has proved to be stable and I need actually to work on them. This is one of them.
- watchtower – The container that checks for any updates to my currently running and updates them.
